Positive #2: Jurrien Timber's performance

One of the standouts of the game was Jurrien Timber, who put in a good performance for Arsenal on his unnatural side at left back.

The Dutch international battled well with compatriot Denzel Dumfries and while he didn't always come out on top, he certainly remained determined. Timber got up the pitch well to help out in attack and also contributed to his side's good defensive performance.

It was a good showing from Timber and he was certainly one of the Gunners' brighter sparks on a tough night. He is likely to continue at left-back while Riccardo Calafiori remains absent with injury.

Negative #2: Couldn't break through

Arsenal were regularly frustrated on Wednesday night as they struggled to break down Inter's resilient defence. Arteta's side created three big chances, took 13 corners, attempted 46 crosses and had 20 shots throughout but they all came to nothing.

It was a case of great defending, frustration and a lack of quality that thwarted the Gunners against Inter. An xG of 2.19 and zero goals scored pretty much sums up their night.

Another poor showing in front of goal hints that a switch-up in attack could be what Arsenal need. Nevertheless, the Gunners must start being more clinical when on the attacking front or they will find winning games harder and harder.
