2. Inconsistency in front of goal

Pedro has scored 10 goals in 27 league appearances for Brighton this season, but has struggled to maintain consistency throughout, despite outperforming an xG of 8.9.

He has endured goalless droughts of up to seven games during the campaign and that has prevented him from being a consistent and deadly force at the centre of the Seagulls' attack. Pedro went on similar runs of no goals last season despite being one of the top scorers in the Europa League.

There is no denying the Brazilian has talent and can score goals, but that doesn't meet what Arsenal need. The Gunners desperately require a striker who can come up with the goods in practically every game, not just a few times throughout the season before disappearing for lengthy spells. Pedro's inconsistency really doesn't point to him being the answer to the north Londoners' goalscoring problems.
