  • The Gunners have dropped ten points in four games

Arsenal endured a tough start to 2024/25, so the law of averages should bring improved fortunes after the international break.

No games are easy at this level, but the Gunners have had a particularly hard run with which to contend: playing all of Aston Villa, Sp*rs, Man City, Newcastle and Chelsea away in their first 11 matches.

Difficult ties were then compounded by other, damaging factors, including the three red cards earned during that schedule and injuries to several key players; Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard being chief among them.

Of course, every team gets injuries and a title-worthy side should be able to deal with moments of adversity. But the fact these absences/dismissals/road trips all occurred at the same time is quite unfortunate and something Arsenal will likely not have to navigate (to that extent, at least) for the rest of the season.

Perhaps it sounds whingy but, in truth, it is meant as a warning about what this team can do once things fall back in our favour.
