2. Age and leadership

Partey is not the only midfielder to have left Arsenal this summer with Jorginho also departing north London. His exit left a gap in the Gunners' leadership group with his age and qualities as a captain being of great assistance to the side.
Norgaard should be able to fill that void left by Jorginho. At 31-years-old, he will be one of the oldest members of the young Arsenal squad and will be able to lend his aged expertise to any players who need help or assistance in their development.
He was also Brentford's captain for two seasons, being given the role in 2023, and that is likely something Arteta will want to utilise. While he may not wear the armband for the Gunners, he will act as an older leader that the players can look up to.
