3 reasons why Mikel Arteta must make use of Kieran Tierney
- Tierney now available to play
- Left footed left back needed
- Too many playing out of position
3. A good footballer
Despite facing many injury problems at Arsenal and a severe lack of playing time in recent seasons, Kieran Tierney remains an immensely talented footballer. When he was Mikel Arteta's first-choice left-back, he was one of the best in the league, if not the world and he is still capable of being somewhat near that level.
While he may not always fit into the Gunners' system, there is still so much he can offer in attack, especially with his desire to get forward and help out in attack. He brings so much to the team, whether that be defensive brilliance or attacking ability; Tierney is still good enough to play for this Arsenal side.
If Arteta is to use Tierney, it has to be now. His talent is still there but it won't stay forever, just has shown with players previously in a similar position. Sitting on the bench won't do him any favours so Arteta has to make use of Tierney's ability and welcome him back into his side.
