3. William Saliba
Ahead of the trip to Sporting, William Saliba faced the tough prospect of coming up against Europe's most in-form striker Viktor Gyokeres but made light work of the task.
He limited the star Swede to very little on Tuesday evening, being bettered in just one instance. Some credit must go to his centre back partner Gabriel Magalhaes but Saliba just seemed like a brick wall in the Arsenal backline.
Saliba was on hand to intercept plenty of attempted passes made by Sporting, completely eradicating attacking threats, and also helped clear up when needed. It was certainly a standout performance from the formidable Frenchman.
