Arsenal could not beat a resilient Nottingham Forest side as they were held to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night.
The Gunners put the hosts under substantial pressure throughout the game but nothing came to fruition as a hard-to-beat Forest managed to keep them out. Mikel Arteta's side did well to keep out any returned pressure and also put on a show of some impressive defending.
While it was a disappointing result, there were three players that stood out for Arsenal in their 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.
1. William Saliba

Faced with the tough task of defending against the Kiwi R9 himself, Chris Wood, William Saliba could have struggled at the City Ground. It was quite the opposite for the Frenchman however, as he put in an impressive performance at the back.
Saliba made life difficult for the Forest frontline as he helped his side keep them at bay for most of the game. He made seven clearances, completed 13 overall defensive actions and also won six of eight attempted duels.
The star man's finest moment came off the back of his own mistake however. Saliba misjudged a cross and sliced a clearance into the air. The ball fell to Wood who looked certain to score but the Frenchman made an outstanding last-ditch tackle to deny him. That was the highlight of a defensively solid performance from Saliba.
