Arsenal secured a dominant 3-0 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday night to provide themselves with a hefty advantage in their Champions League quarter-final.

Declan Rice opened the scoring when he stepped up 30 yards from goal and curled a brilliant free kick effort around the Madrid wall to beat Thibaut Courtois. The midfielder then made it two with an even better strike, finding the top corner with a free kick from 25 yards. Mikel Merino soon put the seal on victory with a neatly taken effort from the edge of the box.

It was an outstanding team performance from the Gunners, with every player playing their part, but there were three that stood out in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Real Madrid.

Tasked with facing the likes of Jude Bellingham and Luka Modric in midfield, Declan Rice had a big job ahead of him at the Emirates, but he didn't let that stop him from putting in a brilliant performance.

The midfielder offered plenty of support in attack, making a number of runs forward and playing some nice long balls for his teammates. Rice's influence was felt throughout the game, but his star moments came from free kicks.

Just before the hour mark, Rice struck a dead ball 30 yards from goal and curled it around the wall before beating Courtois. The England international then replicated his opener with another free-kick effort. This time a bit closer to goal, Rice found the top corner with a sublime effort from 25 yards out.

Arsenal's star man's evening came on an end with ten minutes to play as he was replaced by Kieran Tierney to a roaring standing ovation. A simply brilliant performance from Declan Rice.
