Wow, Myles Lewis-Skelly really is good, isn't he? The young lef- back shined once again against Villa, showing more signs of serious quality.
When his side had the ball, he was often found in the midfield having often drifted inside from his left-back position. This allowed Lewis-Skelly to link up with his teammates, completing 37 out of 40 attempted passes. He also drew four fouls from the Villa players, the most out of any player on the pitch.
Lewis-Skelly didn't let his tendency to invert get in the way of his defensive obligations. He dealt with the threat of the in-form Morgan Rogers and limited the star man to very little throughout. It was another great performance from the youngster, who showed that he is more than capable of playing consistently in the Premier League.
