Martin Zubimendi came off the bench for his Emirates Stadium debut and played the entirety of the second half impressing fans.
The Spaniard slotted in at the base of midfield and looked so calm and composed in the position. He battled well with his Villarreal opposites, winning his three attempted ground duels.
His passing caught the eye of fans, playing some great balls for his teammates and boasting a 100% pass accuracy with 32 completed. With three of these passes played into the final third, he also helped his side out in attack at times.
Zubimendi was another player who stood out for Arsenal as he showed his all-round ability when playing in the defensive midfield position, something that will be of great use for the side throughout the season.
