3. Riccardo Calafiori

A surprise starter ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back, Riccardo Calafiori impressed with a positive performance against Man United.
His game started off in the perfect way when just 15 minutes in, he pounced on a mistake by the hosts during a corner to head his side into the lead with what proved to be the eventual winning goal.
He looked good defensively, battling well with United's right side amid plenty of sustained pressure, but also attacked when possible as he tried to play a more advanced role. There were some elements of shakiness, but that is too be expected from a player who has only just returned from injury, so nothing should be taken away from what was a standout showing.
