2. Myles Lewis-Skelly

Lewis-Skelly's performance on Wednesday was one of great maturity. He was very aware of Port Vale's threat on the counter-attack so his runs forward were carefully chosen and done at the right times.
Given the attacking threat of Eze and Nwaneri, it was interesting to note that it was Lewis-Skelly who offered the creative spark in the build-up for Eze's opening goal. His delicate flick took the ball perfectly into the path of his teammate to score.
In defence, Lewis-Skelly was on the receiving end of some rough stuff from Port Vale. But, Lewis-Skelly's temperament appears to be improving and he didn't retaliate in the slightest.
Having waited patiently for this opportunity, he gave Arteta a timely reminder of what he can bring to the team.
