In fairness, the third standout should probably be William Saliba. However, Nørgaard has been forced to wait for his Arsenal debut and he did really well in an attacking midfield.

A total of 89 passes from 100 touches indicates just how influential the Danish international was in the tie. Nørgaard covered the ground very well and rarely looked out of position against the counter-attack.

Mikel Arteta will no doubt be very grateful that he has Nørgaard to call on when he needs him. He has proven that he can step in for Martin Zubimendi and that offers the boss an opportunity to rotate whenever he sees fit with the games coming thick and fast.
