Despite being expected to be given a rest, Gabriel Martinelli started against Bournemouth and put on an impressive display.

The Brazil international came up against Julian Araujo and had plenty of joy, particularly in the early stages. Martinelli often managed to break in behind and make his way into the box Cherries' box with his usual darting and skillful runs.

He almost provided an assist for Leandro Trossard when he drifted into the penalty area before playing a delicate cross in that the Belgian headed towards goal. Martinelli's battles came to an end in the final minutes as he withdrawn and while his side fell to defeat, he did impress on the left flank.
