2. Declan Rice

As far as defensive midfielder performances go, Rice turned in a great shift. Rice's energy in defensive transitions ensured that Newcastle counter attacks were rarely threatening.
In possession, Rice kept the ball moving at pace and going forward. Unlike Zubimendi, he attempted to get Saka into the game more quickly.
The England international's forward run resulted in earning the corner that led to Arsenal's equaliser. Rice worked a short corner that, when it came back to him, he whipped in at an inviting height for Mikel Merino to head home.
