Pape Sarr's long distance lob, after Myles Lewis-Skelly appeared to be tripped, handed Arsenal their first defeat of an otherwise excellent Asian tour.

3. William Saliba

Despite being exposed by the relative shortcomings of Jakub Kiwior today, Saliba remained imperious in the heart of the Arsenal defence.

Saliba won everything that came his way today, particularly in the air. His defensive headers were so precise that they turned defence into attack a couple of times and weren't merely clearances.

Partnered for the last quarter of an hour by Christhian Mosquera, Saliba looked even better. Mosquera took the position of right centre-back allowing Saliba to shift left. In the absence of Gabriel, Arteta could do worse than test out this partnership in the remaining pre-season fixtures.
