3. Threat of the Magpies
Newcastle look to have returned to their 2022/23 form over the past few weeks and are currently on a six-game winning streak.
The Magpies have been a tough side to beat, securing hard-fought victories at Manchester United and Tottenham after thumping Aston Villa and Ipswich. Having already beaten Arsenal this season, Eddie Howe's side will enter this tie full of confidence.
Newcastle will likely be looking to frustrate the Gunners with the prospect of taking a good result into the second leg at St James' Park, but they've also got the talent in attack to hurt the hosts. Alexander Isak is in serious form, scoring in each of his previous seven Premier League appearances, and he's certainly the visitors' danger man. With victory the ultimate objective for Arsenal on Tuesday, they must be wary of the threat Newcastle pose.
