Something that seems to have been a rarity in recent weeks is Arsenal playing before Liverpool but this matchday sees them in action before their title rivals.
This scheduling situation provides the Gunners with a great chance to put some pressure on the Reds as they can go three points behind them with a win at Brighton. Granted, Liverpool will have two games in hand but the potential of Arsenal being close behind them will certainly make them feel that pressure.
Liverpool are in action on Sunday as they host strugglers Manchester United at Anfield. Despite United's poor form, this may prove to be a slippery fixture for Liverpool with form not a great decider of tough rivalry matches. With this in mind, a win is crucial for Arsenal at Brighton as they must take any chance possible to put serious pressure on the league leaders.
