2. Tough place to go
Regardless of Newcastle's recent home form, St James' Park does remain a very tough place to go. It will be roaring tonight and Arsenal must be ready for that.
The Gunners have won just two of their five trips to Tyneside under Mikel Arteta and that will be cause for concern. One of the losses came in the penultimate game of the 2021-22 season, where a Champions League hunting Arsenal fell to an abysmal 2-0 defeat, all but securing the spot for their North London rivals Tottenham. This may hint at a difficulty to win under pressure.
Arteta's side do find themselves under tremendous pressure for tonight's game at Newcastle, in need of turning over a 2-0 scoreline. Their recent record at St James' Park does not bode well and given the Magpies' strength at home, tonight will be a very tough away game.
