Arsenal head to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon in their opening game of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

The Gunners secured a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao to bring their pre-season to an end last weekend. Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz both got on the scoresheet with Viktor Gyokeres grabbing his first goal as an Arsenal player.

Mikel Arteta's side now face a tough test in their season opener as they travel to face rivals Man United and there are three key talking points ahead of what could be an eventful clash.

Following on from a disappointing season in which they finished second for the third consecutive campaign, Arsenal will be looking to end their long wait to reclaim the Premier League title this term.

Arteta will know that a strong start will be crucial for his side as they look to lift the prestigious trophy for the first time since the iconic 2003/04 Invincibles season. With that being said, it won't be an easy opening game.

United will be prepared to make life difficult for the Gunners on Sunday afternoon, but the Arsenal squad will know that they will face these tough tests throughout the campaign and to start the year with a positive result in such a game would be simply brilliant.
