Arsenal travel to face relegated Southampton on Sunday afternoon for their final game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

The Gunners returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory against Newcastle, their first triumph since a 4-0 thumping of Ipswich Town in April. Declan Rice continued his fine form with a great second-half strike to seal the three points for his side.

As Arsenal look to end the season with three points away to a dismal Saints side, there are three key talking points ahead of Sunday's clash.

1. Ending with a win

As a relatively disappointing season comes to an end, Arsenal will be wanting to at least end it with a victory and they should fancy their chances away to a Southampton side that have won just once at home.

The Gunners have won their previous 13 games on the final day and will be looking to extend that as they look to break the record of most consecutive concluding victories. They also boast an unbeaten record that stretches back to the 2005/06 campaign, a 4-2 win against Wigan Athletic that saw the club bid farewell to Highbury.

Regardless of records, Mikel Arteta will be keen for his side to end the campaign with a win. Any less would pretty much sum up how this season has gone for Arsenal.
