Since signing from Brighton in January 2023, Leandro Trossard has been Arsenal's 'clutch' man in a number of games. He has scored 28 goals and provided 23 assists in 124 appearances for the Gunners, with a number of those coming off the bench.

After a slow start to the 2024/25 season, the Belgium international found his feet after Christmas, with five of his eight Premier League goals coming during the second half of the campaign. He proved he can still be of use to Mikel Arteta, but a sale must still be considered.

Now 30-years-old, Trossard is valued at €22m, plummeting €13m from what he was at the end of last season. With him turning 31 in December, his valuation and on-pitch ability is likely to suffer a continued natural decline over the course of the upcoming season.

Reports surfaced a few weeks ago that the club were in advanced talks over a new four-year contract for Trossard, a decision that isn't the smartest. He remains an effective player in front of goal and a useful tool for the club to have, but the point has come for them to sell the Belgian, not secure his future.

No news has emerged regarding an update and while it is likely he will put pen to paper on a new deal, the Gunners have to consider selling. Trossard has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia and that could mean a decent fee for Arsenal, but if they do keep hold of him, they are unlikely to get another chance to receive a substantial payment for their substitute superstar.
