3. A potentially cheap option

While Ornstein's report claims PSG would likely want at least double the fee they paid for Lee in 2023 (€22m), there is potential for Arsenal to sign him on a cheap deal.

The rumour is that if the French side are willing to let the South Korea international leave on a loan with an option to buy then the Gunners will come to the table. A deal of that proportion would be great for the club.

An initial loan would be cheap with Arsenal really only having to worry about covering Lee's wages without any serious fees. An option to buy would not be obligatory and the Gunners would be able to exercise that in the summer if they deem Lee a suitable player to join permanently. The prospect of signing Lee on a potentially cheap deal, at least in the short term, makes him a good option.
