Arsenal let two leads slip to draw 2-2 with Liverpool on Sunday evening, a result that could have a huge impact on the title race.

Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead inside ten minutes with an excellent finish before Virgil van Dijk levelled it up, heading past David Raya from a corner. Minutes before the break, Mikel Merino's first Arsenal goal put the Gunners back in front but Mohamed Salah made the most of a depleted backline to earn a point for the visitors with ten minutes remaining.

Despite dropping two points, the performance was an improvement on last week's dismal defeat at Bournemouth. There were four players that stood out in the title-affecting draw.

Amid uncertainty regarding his fitness, Bukayo Saka was named in the Arsenal starting XI and led his side out as captain. The winger marked his return with an outstanding performance.

He opened the scoring inside ten minutes as he did brilliantly to take down a long ball from Ben White, outwit Andy Robertson and smash the ball past Caoimhin Kelleher. His opener was his 50th Premier League goal. He tore the Scotland skipper apart before Arne Slot turned to Kostas Tsimikas.

Saka had an all-round good game as he was involved in plenty of team play, along with helping out in defence. The winger was withdrawn with five minutes to play.
