Ben White returned to his old position of centre back in place of the suspended William Saliba and enjoyed a good game at the back.

He made ten clearances in total and four recoveries as he was one of Arsenal's better defenders on what was a tough night at times. He played a great long ball to assist Saka's opener, before playing several more throughout the game.

The defender produced a sound overall performance and showed he can still play at centre-back despite effectively becoming a natural right-back over the past two years.
