And here he is, the man of the moment Alexander Isak. Newcastle's star Swede has been on fire this season and he showed Arsenal, a club that hold great interest in him, just how good he can be with his goal in Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Isak has scored 15 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions this season, with ten of those coming in his last nine games. His sensational run of form has seen Gooners call for their beloved club to make a move for him this month but he is likely to prove far too expensive.

Valued at €75m, Isak was subject to plenty of interest last summer but Newcastle fended it off by demanding around £150m for their striker. With him in red hot form this season, it is likely the Magpies will be wanting even more than that huge amount this month. A fee of that size is basically unheard of in a January transfer window so it is extremely unlikely the Gunners will make a move for Isak.

Of course, the club must still view Isak as an option, especially in the summer, but for now Arsenal fans should not be getting their hopes up.
