Arsenal are, checks notes, Premier League champions! Deservedly so, and every single person who was talking about them bottling the league is thinking about what could have been.

Arsenal fans, on the other hand, are on cloud nine, and are really enjoying their time at the moment. It's their first title in over 20 years, and it makes it that much sweeter that so many Easter eggs and surprising facts have come to light since the result.

Similarities between Arsene Wenger and Mikel Arteta's first title runs, Arteta finishing over a Pep Guardiola team for the second consecutive season, and so many more things for these fans to celebrate.

Perhaps, they would have enjoyed winning the title in front of their own fans, but Arsenal will take this reality over putting so much pressure on themselves in the last game of the season. Besides, they will get to celebrate the title, either way, and they will go back to the Emirates to celebrate with the fans, too, I'm sure.

Alexis Sanchez just sent a heartfelt message to Arsenal fans

Some ex-Arsenal players have recently come to congratulate the team and their fans for the Premier League title, and have left the fanbase in awe. One of those players is Alexis Sanchez, who sent his congratulations to the players on Wednesday.

He said: “Hello Gunners, sending you a big hug. You know that I love you a lot and congratulations to all the players and all the fans for winning the Premier League. Much love.”

It must be sad for Arsenal fans to think about the way the relationship with Sanchez ended - with him leaving to join Manchester United, and the manner in which it all happened, and how it ended there as well - but it is good to see him still support the Gunners.

He knows how much it means for the club to achieve it after such a painfully long period of time - a lot of which he was there for as well, desperately trying to get that elusive title to the Emirates Stadium.

Better late than never, however. Even if Sanchez was not able to provide that for the Gunners, he would be happy to see other players take over the mantle and take the team to the finish line.

Many other players like Sanchez have been sending these sorts of messages, and honestly, it must be a really good time to be an Arsenal fan at the moment.
