Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat to PSG in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side paid the ultimate price for a poor start with PSG escaping the Emirates with a 1-0 win in the Champions League semi-final first leg.
It took the Gunners roughly 20 odd minutes to finally get their foot in the game, but Ousmane Dembele's fourth-minute strike was enough to seal the win as Arsenal once again, wasted a host of chances, so too, PSG, in a game that could have easily seen the visitors out of sight, but also Arsenal to go Paris with a lead.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard were the two who missed guilt edged chances as Mikel Merino saw his second-half header ruled out for offside by VAR.
Arteta's side huffed and puffed late, and in doing so, left gaps at the back, and PSG had several chances to put the game to bed, but thankfully, missed and at 1-0, the tie is very much still alive for the Gunners, but make no mistake about it, the second leg will be a seriously tough challenge.

Gunners left ruing missed chances
As we mentioned above, Martinelli and Trossard were the offenders. The Brazilian was sent through one-on-one against Gianluigi Donnarumma and hit his shot straight at the PSG keeper.
Trossard missed the target altogether as two glorious chances went begging for the Gunners and at this stage of the competitions, every chance has to be taken.
They weren't.
