Pape Sarr's long distance lob, after Myles Lewis-Skelly appeared to be tripped, handed Arsenal their first defeat of an otherwise excellent Asian tour.

2. Arsenal are too reliant on Bukayo Saka

Saka's heavy involvement in this encounter was symptomatic of just how good the Arsenal tallisman is at finding space to receive the ball. Unlike Martinelli on the opposite flank, Saka held his position wide and dropped deep into pockets to receive the ball.

Tottenham were well aware of Saka's threat and proceeded to foul the Arsenal winger at every opportunity without sanction. The referee did not protect Saka at all and it was no surprise when another heavy challenge forced Saka off late on with what looked like a dead leg.

Unless Arsenal can find enough attacking options, they could become way too predictable and one dimensional. The introduction of Reiss Nelson and Max Dowman late on offered greater variety going forward.
