Thomas Partey (DM) - 5/10 - This certainly wasn't the dominant force from Brentford. Partey sauntered through the contest without much vigour. Any impressive defensive sequences arrived after he'd just given the ball away.

Declan Rice (CM) - 7/10 - On a difficult night, Rice at least offered something. There was drive and thrust from the Englishman, who was intent on getting Arsenal back into the game in the second half. Set-piece delivery caused issues, too.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - 5/10 - Annoyingly anonymous. Newcastle shacked him.
