Gabriel Jesus (RW) - 6/10 - Donned the armband and started brightly with a couple of weaving runs. Proved to be a handy outlet, and worked hard without the ball. However, he did miss a big chance before half-time.

Kai Havertz (ST) - 6/10 - A quiet night for Havertz, who rotated wide right in the first half but stayed central towards the end of the contest. Produced a couple of lovely first-time lay-offs, and I'm not sure why he didn't take the penalty.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 7.5/10 - Certainly played as if he had something to prove. Martinelli did not stop running, and it was his effort which led to Arsenal's opener. A bright spark all night.
