Martinelli battled well | Marc Atkins/GettyImages

Ethan Nwaneri (RW) - 6.5/10 - Caused problems with his crosses and set-piece deliveries that he put straight on and near the keeper. Looked desperate to cut inside and get shots away at goal but struggled to create space at times. Withdrawn with half-hour remaining.

Leandro Trossard (ST) - 6.5/10 - Went close to grabbing the opener late in the first half with a strike from long-range that Flekken had to palm away. His influence faded as the game went on however.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 6.5/10 - Had some joy coming up against Ajer but did also struggle at times. Had a great chance to make it 1-0 in the first half when he brilliantly brought down a lofted ball, but took just a bit too long to get his shot away, and it was blocked by Ajer. Caught on the end of a reckless challenge by Christian Norgaard.
