A late Gabriel Martinelli goal rescued a point for Arsenal against Manchester City.

Arsenal needed a stoppage-time goal from Gabriel Martinelli to rescue a point at the Emirates Stadium against Manchester City as the Gunners managed to stay second in the table.

With Erling Haaland giving the visitors the lead inside 10 minutes, it did have a rather ominous feeling about it, but the Gunners settled and tested Gianluigi Donnarumma in the City goal, but for all of their possession and shots on goal, Arsenal couldn't breakthrough.

So Mikel Arteta looked to his bench and for the second time this week, Gabriel Martinelli scored to give the Gunners a share of the spoils against Pep Guardiola's side.

Three takeaways from Arsenal's 1-1 draw with City.

His delightful dink was sublime as he latched onto Eberechi Eze's long ball forward, and clipped it over Donnarumma.

He is starting to find form, but will he continue from the bench?
