Bukayo Saka got on the score sheet in his return as Arsenal defeated Fulham 2-1 at the Emirates.

It just had to be, didn't it? On his Arsenal return from a three-month lay-off, Bukayo Saka scored in the Gunners' 2-1 win over Fulham at the Emirates.

With the winger not being sighted since December, he came on as a second-half substitute and got on the end of a Gabriel Martinelli flick to head home at the back post.

Mikel Merino gave the Gunners a first-half lead thanks to a big Jorge Cuenca deflection before Bukayo doubled the lead halfway through the second half. Rodrigo Muniz scored in stoppage time for the visitors, but Arsenal held on for a big three points in Saka's return.

Mikel Arteta teased at a possible start for Saka, but the winger came off the bench and took just seven minutes to score a goal that was cheered for as loud as any this season.

The reception Saka got from the Gunners fans as he awaited his return was good for the soul, and he repaid that with his header to double Arsenal's lead.

Saka got roughly 30 minutes in the tank on his return, as the Gunners look to build him back up slowly, but it was a fairytale comeback, with Arsenal winning, and Bukayo on the scoresheet.
