Gabriel Martinelli (RW) - 7.5/10 - Opened the scoring when he did well to get on the end of Trossard's cross. Made life difficult for Villa at times with some good runs down the right side, but dropped off in the second half before being withdrawn.

Kai Havertz (ST) - 6.5/10 - Grabbed his side's second with a good finish from close range. Didn't offer much else as he spent a lot of time drifting wide. His handball saw Merino's late winner ruled out.

Leandro Trossard (LW) - 8/10 - Was a real issue for the Villa backline, making a number of good runs on the left wing. Provided two assists with perfectly placed crosses for his teammates to convert. Missed a chance to win it in the final minutes.
