Raheem Sterling (RW) - 8/10 - Full of energy on the right and he had two assists to show for it. Did well to play the ball to Zinchenko for the opener before putting a brilliant cross into the box for Rice to net the second. Could've had a goal when he was put clean through on two occasions but was denied by Benitez twice. Booked in stoppage time.

Mikel Merino (ST) - 6.5/10 - Didn't offer too much up top with his best moments coming in linkup play with teammates. Played a nice through ball to present Lewis-Skelly a chance in the first half. Taken off just after the hour mark.

Kieran Tierney (LW) - 6.5/10 - Had a real sense of urgency and high intensity despite being out of position. Looked good when on the ball but didn't receive too much out on the left.
