Arsenal easily accounted for Forest in a delightful display at the Emirates.


Well, that was the type of response Mikel Arteta wanted from his Arsenal team after the 1-0 loss to Liverpool last time out as the Gunners secured a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.

A Martin Zubimendi brace, coupled with Viktor Gyokeres' third goal in four games, was enough for the Gunners to bounce back as Arteta shuffled the decks with Declan Rice surprisingly starting on the bench, allowing Mikel Merino the chance to start.

After a so-so start, the Gunners clicked into gear and the 3-0 scoreline makes it seem as comfortable as it was for Arsenal.

Okay, this was superb.

We know of Martin's midfield qualities, and they were there for all to see with his football IQ, composure on the ball, and anything else you can think of was otherworldly...but one thing made it even better.

His goals.

The first, a volley that was sublime, gave the Gunners the lead in the first half, and his header in the second half sealed the win as the Spaniard was monstrous in the middle of the pitch.
