Merino the marvelous

Okay, his performance wasn't spectacular, but his goal was superbly taken, and considering it was the final nail in Madrid on the night to make it 3-0, that can't be understated.

In his last six games in all competitions, Merino has scored four goals, which is quite the return and that third goal for the Gunners is perhaps the most important of them all.

Now turning for the second leg, the Gunners have a small degree of comfort after Merino's well-taken strike.
