Arsenal advanced to the Carabao Cup semi-finals after a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal booked its ticket to the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates behind a second-half hat-trick from Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners didn't start the game well. Jakub Kiwior got himself mixed up, allowing Jean-Philippe Mateta to open the scoring after just a few minutes.

The home side's first half was poor, but they clicked into gear in the second half. Jesus finally found his shooting boots to score three times, looking to have restored his confidence in front of goal.

Former Gunner Eddie Nketiah scored a delightful header to make for a nervous finish, but Arsenal held firm and booked its place in the semi-finals.

Here are three takeaways from the 3-2 win over Palace.

Jesus is back?

This is the Gabriel Jesus we remember as he rose from the ashes with a vintage performance. His first goal, thanks to a Martin Odegaard wonder ball, was superb as Jesus held off his defender and produced a delightful dink to bring his team level.

His second was a well-taken finish after some neat build-up play, in which he looked offside, and his third, after being released by a superb ball, the Brazilian drove into the Palace box and lashed home, completing his hat-trick.

Is he back? Goodness me we hope so.
