Big chance for silverware
With the win, the Gunners advance to the semi-finals and now have a real chance at playing off in the final. Arsenal's opponents will either be Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham or Manchester United.
So it doesn't get any easier for the Gunners but they will be favorites in every game bar Liverpool, and if it is at home even more so.
It was an important step for Arsenal to instill some confidence that had been lost over the past few games and take a big step forward in the search for some much-needed silverware.
