Arsenal's recent resurgence continued, with an old-fashioned belting of West Ham 5-2 at London Stadium.

This is more like it.

Arsenal's resurgence after the international break has continued, with a devastating 36-minute first-half spell that saw four goals slammed home by Gabriel, Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz saw the Gunners rip apart the Hammers, and open a 4-0 lead.

Two quick-fire goals from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson Palmieri saw the hosts close the gap before Bukayo Saka (because, of course) then converted his penalty to give the Gunners a 5-2 lead at half-time.

The second half, as expected, didn't live up to the heights of the first, but the Gunners did enough to manage the hosts and climb to second in the league table.

The defender has now scored in back-to-back games as Arsenal's set-pieces are becoming a real strength and lifts the pressure of the front line to constantly get the job done. He won Saka's penalty on the stroke of half-time which gave the Gunners a three-goal buffer.

For all of Arsenal's attacking weapons, the hulking Brazilian is doing his part from set-pieces.
