Arsenal just capped off their first Premier League game of the new season. While the result didn't exactly flatter Arsenal, it was business as usual, and Mikel Arteta picked up three points on the road.
This was, by no means, vintage Arsenal. The "1-0 to the Arsenal" chants weren't belting around Old Trafford for a reason and that's because, Arsenal fans couldn't be proud of that performance.
Look, we don't want to be down on the Arsenal players. They beat Man United at Old Trafford and secured their first three points of the season, but... Come on. It doesn't take a genius to work out improvements need to be made.
Arsenal's performance was flat, and aside from the set piece, which was headed home by Riccardo Calafiori, it was hardly a display to write home about.
But, dare we say it, that's what champions do. They win games at one of the most iconic venues in all of sports, despite not being at their best.
We already have our Arsenal player ratings live, but for now, feast your eyes (and prepare to potentially be offended) at who stood out at either end of the spectrum.
Arsenal's best and worst player from Man United vs Arsenal
Best player - Martin Zubimendi
I could have easily given this accolade to David Raya, and Lennie Teague already did in the player ratings. Raya also had a stellar performance between the sticks, so he's impossible to ignore. However, factoring in absolutely everything, I personally have to go with Martin Zubimendi.
Zubimendi was both easy on the eye, as well as putting in a physical blinder of a performance. He covered an impressive 11.4km, the most of any player and made seven defensive contributions, the most of any midfielder on the pitch.
He started off shakily and looked like he might be in for a tough game. Zubimendi did have a tough game, but he came out of it as the best player on the pitch. Now you can see why Arteta was raving about him.
Worst player - Viktor Gyokeres
The other Arsenal player to make his full debut, Viktor Gyokeres, didn't have a good game by any stretch of the imagination.
The Swedish international was a long way from home, and he had an off-day on his debut. Conistently tuffled off the ball by De Ligt, Gyokeres just couldn't get a grip of this game.
And it wasn't through a lack of opportunities. Gyokeres received the ball on a fair few occasions, but just couldn't make the most of them.
And we're not going to jump to conclusions. There is absolutely a killer to be unearthed in Gyokeres, and hopefully, he'll be given more opportunity to make a name for himself in the next match.
