Arsenal have the chance to break a 101-year-old record on Sunday if they are to win their final game matchup with Southampton.
The Gunners have won their previous 13 matches on the final day of the Premier League season and if they extend that to 14 at St Mary's, they will break the record of most consecutive victories set by Liverpool in the 1923/24 campaign.
Having enjoyed dominant performances in concluding matches over the past few years, the Gunners will fancy themselves to break the champions' record against a Saints side that has struggled to make any impact this season.
Arsenal can break century old record against Southampton

Arsenal couldn't beat Liverpool to silverware this season, but breaking their record that has stood for over a century would be a small achievement that would earn them a place in English football history.
The Gunners started their run with a 3-2 win at West Bromwich Albion to conclude the 2011/12 season and have found themselves to be dominators in recent years.
Straightforward wins over Everton and Wolves to bring the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns to an end have blessed the Emirates Stadium, but Mikel Arteta's side were made to work for three points last season and equal Liverpool's record however. Kai Havertz scored a late winner as Arsenal came from behind to beat Everton 2-1, only to fall agonisingly short of winning the Premier League title.
While their winning run stretches back 13 years, the Gunners boast an even more impressive unbeaten record on the final day, having not fell to defeat since the 2004/05 season when they succumbed to Birmingham City.
They kickstarted a 19-year unbeaten run with a 4-2 win over Wigan Athletic in the final competitive match to be played at Highbury. Robert Pires got on the scoresheet that day, but Thierry Henry stole the headlines as usual with a hat-trick.
Arsenal won't be able to break any records on that front however, with Liverpool also holding that feat, having enjoyed a run without defeat between 1899/00 and 1926/27.
It has been a disappointing season for Arsenal and no one can argue with that. They will be looking to end the campaign with a win and if they manage that, they can write themselves in the history books of English football, albeit in a small capacity. It would be an impressive record to boast regardless.
