Arsenal have confirmed their travelling squad for their pre-season tour of Asia, with 30 players jetting off to the continent.

The Gunners flew to Singapore yesterday and on the plane was a range of talent that includes new signings, academy stars and first team regulars.

Mikel Arteta's side will take on AC Milan and Newcastle at the National Stadium before heading to Hong Kong where they will face arch-rivals Tottenham in the first north London derby to be played abroad.

The tour will be an opportunity for the first team stars to get back to their best following some time off while new signings and academy youngsters will be looking to make names for themselves within the squad. Here are the players who Arsenal have taken for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Goalkeepers

As most would have expected, David Raya has travelled with the squad as he looks to continue his brilliant time as Arsenal's number one shotstopper. His new backup Kepa Arrizabalaga has also jetted off and he is likely to be given his first lot of playing time as a Gunner.

Academy 'keepers Tommy Setford and Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko have headed out to Asia. Both had been used as a third-choice last season so will be looking to get some proper first team chances during the tour.

Defenders

First-choice centre back duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have travelled with the latter likely to be wanting to bounce back after he suffered a season-ending injury in April. Jurrien Timber, Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Jakub Kiwior, Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko have also joined the squad.

Hale End stars Josh Nichols and Marli Salmon have also flown out. Nichols made his first team debut last season while Salmon has been praised as one of the academy's best defensive prospects.

New signing Cristhian Mosquera is yet to be announced as an Arsenal player, but could join up with his new teammates once his move from Valencia has been officially confirmed.

Midfielders

Captain Martin Odegaard will be leading the squad in Asia with Declan Rice and Mikel Merino accompanying him. A surprise inclusion is Albert Sambi Lokonga, who has travelled despite being expected to leave the club permanently this summer.

Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard both travelled with the side having signed from Real Sociedad and Brentford respectively this summer. The pair will be ready to take the opportunity to establish themselves as part of their new side.

Just days after signing his first professional contract, academy star Louie Copley has been brought along by Arteta. He is expected to be a part of the club's Under-21 setup next season.

Forwards

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri have all joined their teammates in flying out to Asia while Reiss Nelson has also travelled despite being linked with a move away in recent days.

Academy sensation Max Dowman has accompanied the squad ahead of a season where he is tipped to have some involvement in first team football. Fellow Hale Enders Ismeal Kabia and Andre Harriman-Annous have also travelled.

New signing Noni Madueke has not joined his new side for their tour due to his participation in the Club World Cup and is set to be involved once his teammates return. A deal for Viktor Gyokeres is still yet to be agreed, but he could fly out to Asia if he joins relatively soon.
