Arsenal are exploring a move to sign Kenan Yıldız from Juventus as part of their pursuit of a new left winger in the final weeks of the transfer window, according to Miguel Delaney of The Independent.

The Gunners are looking at whether a deal for the Turkey international is possible before the window slams shut in just 11 days, having already missed out on signing Vinícius Júnior from Real Madrid in July.

Mikel Arteta is keen to add a new option on the left flank and Yıldız is an option that has been appreciated for some time and looks like the club have singled him out as the player they want to go for.

Yıldız has been among Arsenal's targets for the left wing for some time and Arteta is said to be keen on signing the versatile attacker, but there are certain obstacles that currently stand in the way of any deal.

The Gunners hierarchy want to ensure more sales are sanctioned ahead of the window's closure in September with Leandro Trossard and Christian Nørgaard the only high profile names to leave so far, following Jakub Kiwior and Karl Hein, who made last season's loans away permanent.

Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Ethan Nwaneri, Fábio Vieira and Reiss Nelson are all players who could be sold or loaned out over the next 11 days.

Juventus are also reportedly reluctant to sell Yıldız due to potential fan backlash and are demanding upwards of £60million, but the North Londoners could look to include Martinelli in a potential deal.

At just 21-years-old, a move for the Turkey international would see Arsenal revert to their usual transfer stance of signing young talents after bringing in soon-to-be 29-year-old Bruno Guimarães and agreeing a deal for 28-year-old Ezri Konsa.

Yıldız would be a brilliant addition to the Gunners' attack and would be a significant upgrade on Martinelli, who has struggled for consistent form in recent years, and would also provide competition to Christos Tzolis, who impressed throughout his new side's pre-season.

The winger broke into Juventus' first team after a short spell in their academy, having spent most of his youth career with Bayern Munich, and has evolved into a crucial player for them. He has scored 27 goals and provided 21 assists in 131 appearances, and has consistently been one of Serie A's most dangerous players.

If Arsenal can get a deal for Yıldız over the line, he would be the final touch in a transfer window that has seen the club bolster their strength even more after winning the Premier League title last season. However, Juventus don't seem to be wanting to budge so it could take a monumental offer for the Gunners to bring the Turkish international to the Emirates Stadium.
