Bukayo Saka is set to return for Arsenal against Fulham

After three long months, it appears Arsenal is getting ready to welcome back Bukayo Saka from injury as the Gunners prepare to host Fulham in the Premier League.

Having not been sighted since December in the 5-1 win over Crystal Palace, having No. 7 on the pitch will be a sight for sore eyes as the Gunners' front line has desperately missed what Bukayo brings to the team.

With just nine games left plus at least two champions League games, the Gunners will get a welcomed boost with Saka's return.

There was a thought that the winger might still be a week or two away, but it has now been confirmed that against Fulham, Saka is back.

"Bukayo is ready to go," Mikel Arteta said via arsenal.com.

Cue the celebrations from Arsenal fans.

But as we have mentioned over the past week or so, now comes the delicate balancing act Arteta and his coaching staff must undertake - how to manage Bukayo.

Having been out for over three months, and yes, while he did do a lot of build-up work, coming into a competitive game, we can't expect Saka to start against Fulham, can we?

How will Arsenal approach Saka return?

Given the nature of the injury, the last thing the coaching staff wants is to push Saka too hard and then his hamstring to give out again, which is nightmare fuel.

Well, all the careful things he's already done," Arteta added. "So now it's about putting him in the grass in the right moments. But he's pushing because he really wants it. We have respected the timeframe, we have done everything and we have had to hold him back even. So he's ready to go."

Just what Saka being back could do for this Arsenal side, not only from a playing perspective on the pitch but also mentally, can't be understated - the best player is back and ready to roll.

With the Gunners facing Fulham and then Everton before the mouth-watering Champions League quarter final clash against Real Madrid, having No. 7 back and hopefully getting two games under his belt beforehand, will be just the tonic for the Gunners.

Of course, we don't want Saka rushed, but by all accounts, he's ready to go when Fulham come to north London.
