Since leaving Arsenal on loan in summer, Nuno Tavares has provided an incredible five assists in as many Serie A games.
Sometimes, a player just needs some time away from a club for them to establish themself in terms of form. This is certainly the case with left-back Nuno Tavares.
The Portugal international was signed by Arsenal as a youngster. However, he's struggled to kick-on in the starting lineup and instead, has fallen further down the pecking order.
In the summer, Arsenal added Riccardo Calafiori to their roster. This was not good news for Nuno Tavares, who was already affected in the previous summer by Jurrien Timber's arrival.
However, being sent out on loan, Nuno Tavares is currently loving life in Italy.

Speaking to O Jogo, Nuno Tavares said that he feels more at home playing for Lazio. He praised his Lazio teammates for their ability to rise to the challenge and having a positive start to the season.
In his own words (translated to English), Nuno Tavares said: "I feel more and more at home at Lazio. Fortunately, things are going well for me personally and collectively. I think we have risen to the challenge and can only think about improving. We still have a long way to go but, for now, the balance is very positive."
In his opening five Serie A appearances, Nuno Tavares has provided five assists. Playing in an advanced full-back position, Nuno Tavares has been the key creative hub for Lazio so far this season.
Nuno Tavares was an instant hit with the Lazio faithful. He made his debut against AC Milan, which is always a tough ask. However, he rose to the occasion, and provided the two assists for Lazio's two goals.
Nuno Tavares is only on loan currently. However, from Arsenal's perspective, he is as good as gone. After all, Lazio have an obligation to buy him with conditions set in place.
Even if, on the off-chance the obligation is not met, Nuno Tavares is best-placed to leave Arsenal. There is no place for him in the Gunners starting lineup, even despite his form on loan.
Still, it's nice to see that he's found his form in a different country. Serie A is a well-respected league, one of the best in the world. Lazio sit in a very respectable fourth place and if Nuno's assists keep tallying up, they will only climb the table.
