After the 7-1 win over PSV, the confidence is flowing for Arsenal ahead of its clash against Manchester United.
If only we could bottle that little thing called confidence because right now, fresh off a 7-1 curb-stomping of PSV in the Champions League, Arsenal has it in abundance.
With the striker situation making headlines every day, the manner in which things clicked for Mikel Arteta's side was rather devastating for their opponents, who found themselves down 3-0 after just 30 minutes.
We spoke at length about what that kind of performance could do for the Gunners mentally after having the mental handbrake firmly applied for the previous two games (both scoreless), and now the hope is that the squad knows it can score with the current setup.
But that was against PSV, and now a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United is upon us and that new-found confidence will get the ultimate test.
Can Gunners build on PSV win against United?
The main thing for Arteta and his squad is to now build on the PSV result and slaying United in their building would be superb, and the confidence gained from the PSV win could help with that.
"It was a great night for us in an important competition we have a lot of hope in," Arteta said. "The manner of the way we did it lifted everybody, but that is in the past unfortunately. It is about what we do today, the preparation for tomorrow and trying to replicate a great performance."

That is going to be the hardest thing for Arsenal - replicating that.
Now, we aren't suggesting slamming on seven goals, although that would be superb, but more so the performance, the movement up forward, the pressing into midfield, and the defensive steel to be on show.
Because the last thing the Gunners want is to go to Old Trafford and look toothless in attack and lose the game. That would suggest what happened against PSV was an outlier, and not a potential solution to the problem.
But that is what is facing Arsenal and with Liverpool's lead now 16 points, yes, the league title is now long gone, but the Gunners can take pride in finishing the year off in positive style, and ending bragging rights over United would be the cherry on top.
And they hope that the confidence gained from the PSV win is the catalyst for it.
