Heading into the upcoming Premier League clash against Bournemouth, Arsenal have been handed a huge Gabriel Martinelli injury boost.

All Gabriel Martinelli needed was a goal to open the floodgates. The Brazil international was struggling for form last season and the start of this campaign. However, before the October international break, he scored a couple of goals, which should hopefully inspire him.

Over the international break, there was an injury concern involving Gabriel Martinelli. He came off the bench against Chile, to play the final five minutes.

However, there were concerns that Gabriel Martinelli had picked up an injury on international duty. He had suffered a knock to his calf and even underwent an MRI scan to find a diagnosis.

Arsenal are not concerned by Gabriel Martinelli's injury. In fact, they are so unconcerned, that they were comfortable with him staying with the Brazil camp, rather than returning to England early.

According to journalist Charles Watts, Arsenal will undergo their own examinations for Gabriel Martinelli when he returns to North London. However, they are optimistic he is in good health and could play at the weekend.

In his own words, Watts said: "From the conversations that I've had, Arsenal don't believe there's anything serious with Gabriel Martinelli... So there's no panic stations from Arsenal, but they're certainly going to have to assess him and work out whether it's worth risking him for this game against Bournemouth."

It is protocol for Arsenal to carry out their own medical assessments. They have their own team of doctors, separate to the Brazil national team. So, the fact that he will be assessed should not immediately ring alarm bells.

There are a few positions on the pitch whereby Mikel Arteta could experience selection problems. However, these are nice problems to have. Left-wing is one of them, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli in contention. The other is right-back, with Ben White and Jurrien Timber in contention.
