Arsenal have spent the international break worrying about players sustaining injuries, and they're certainly not set to come through it unscathed.

Kai Havertz was forced off 30 minutes into Germany's first game of the break against the Netherlands after being involved in a collision with Quinten Timber. He's returned to North London for medical assessments, and though a prognosis has yet to be made, the striker is expected to be unavailable for at least some upcoming games.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva recklessly clattered into the back of Martin Odegaard during Portugal's game against Norway on Sunday. The Gunners' captain hasn't trained with his national team since, and while this is likely precationary, it doesn't bode well for his fitness heading into the post-international break period.

To top this off, Ezri Konsa missed England's clash with Czechia due to a knock. The extent of this setback for the defender remains to be seen.

Arsenal recieve positive injury news on Martin Zubimendi

While Arsenal may have to deal with fitness issues for Konsa, Odegaard and Havertz when their squad returns after the break, it appears Martin Zubimendi's scare on Tuesday night wasn't an injury after all.

The midfielder was named in Spain's starting eleven for their Nations League clash with Croatia in Seville. The World Cup winners ran out 4-1 winners, courtesy of a brace from Lamine Yamal, and strikes from Marc Pubill and Nico Williams.

Zubimendi, deployed alongside Fabian Ruiz and Fermin Lopez in Spain's midfield in place of Rodri, lasted 72 minutes before limping off. Rodri came in for the Arsenal man, who appeared to be in some discomfort, clutching his calf.

However, speaking after the game, La Roja boss Luis de la Fuente comforted Arsenal fans with a positive update, revealing that the was no issue with the player.

"He put his hand behind him, and I thought he felt discomfort, but he told me that wasn't the case," the coach explained to Spanish media.

"He felt his calf tighten a bit, and fortunately, there is no injury!"

Mikel Merino played 33 minutes as a substitute for the Spaniards, while David Raya was unused as Unai Simon continues to play ahead of him.

Spain still have two games to play before the end of this break, against Czechia and then Croatia again. They host the former in Oviedo on Saturday, before travelling to Split next Tuesday.

Given Rodri's age and physical vulnerability at this stage of his career, Zubimendi is expected to start at least one of the next two matches.
